Bonnie Chan
Founder and Speech Pathologist
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Bonnie embodies the vibrant fusion of cultures that define this dynamic bustling city. She fluently navigates the worlds of English, Cantonese and Mandarin, effortlessly bridging language barriers with her multilingual prowess.
Bonnie's journey in Speech Pathology is marked by her unwavering commitment to excellence. Having pursued two Master’s degrees from prestigious institutions in Hong Kong and Australia, Bonnie brings a unique and diverse perspective to her practice. Her educational background reflects not only a commitment to lifelong learning but also a dedication to staying at the forefront of innovative therapy techniques and methodologies.
With 10 years of immersive clinical experience in public and private settings across Hong Kong, Brisbane, Gold Coast and North Queensland, Bonnie has honed her expertise in nurturing children’s speech & language development, with a keen focus on supporting neurodiverse individuals, including children with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Having worked with children with a wide range of needs, Bonnie approaches her practice with a deep awareness of the individuality of each child. Her extensive experience enables her to tailor interventions with precision, ensuring that every child receives the personalised care they deserve.
Coming from a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background and having relocated to Australia, Bonnie understands first-hand the obstacles families of CALD background encounter. Her passion lies in empowering Chinese-speaking families in nurturing their children's bilingual development. Bonnie’s personal journey fuels her commitment to championing the growth and development of young minds, irrespective of cultural and linguistic backgrounds, to maximise every child’s potential, and to help preserve their sense of identity and belonging to their families’ cultural and linguistic heritage.

Marcella Lo
Speech Pathologist
Marcella is a trilingual Speech Pathologist at Teddy Talk Speech Pathology, fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. She holds a Bachelor of Speech Pathology from the University of Queensland, where she developed a strong academic foundation grounded in evidence-based practice, clinical excellence, and research-informed intervention. Her dedication to her studies, combined with extensive hands-on training, has equipped her with the knowledge and confidence to support children with a wide range of communication needs.
Throughout her clinical training and professional experience, Marcella has worked with children across diverse developmental profiles, including speech sound disorders, language delays, social communication challenges, and early literacy development. She has completed multiple placements across varied settings, allowing her to refine her assessment, goal-setting, and intervention skills under the supervision of experienced clinicians. These experiences have strengthened her ability to tailor therapy to each child’s individual learning style while maintaining measurable and meaningful progress.
Marcella is deeply passionate about early intervention and the powerful impact effective communication can have on a child’s confidence, relationships, and long-term outcomes. She is committed to ongoing professional development and continually seeks to expand her knowledge to ensure families receive the highest standard of care. Her bilingual and multicultural background enables her to build strong, trusting relationships with families from diverse communities, ensuring therapy feels accessible, culturally responsive, and collaborative.

Angela Yu
Speech Pathology Assistant
Angela is a bilingual Speech Therapy Assistant at Teddy Talk, fluent in Mandarin and English, and conversational in Taiwanese. She is currently in her third year of Bachelor of Speech Pathology at the University of Queensland and is passionate about combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience to deliver a clinically informed, creative, and compassionate approach to her work.
Through her studies and clinical placements, Angela has supported preschool-aged children in developing language and literacy skills, as well as children and adults with a range of communication and feeding or swallowing needs. Her ability to speak a shared language with families allows her to foster trusting relationships and provide person-centred care that honours each client’s background and goals.
Outside of her studies, Angela volunteers with children’s initiatives both locally and overseas, strengthening her ability to offer empathetic and culturally responsive support. Having lived half of her life in Taiwan and half in Australia, she relates closely to families navigating new environments and takes pride in helping children build confidence, develop communication skills, and thrive within their communities.

Michelle Weng
Speech Pathology Assistant
Michelle is a Speech Pathology Assistant at Teddy Talk who is in her third year of Bachelor of Speech Pathology at the University of Queensland. Born to Cantonese parents and raised in Australia, Michelle is fluent in English and conversational in Cantonese. Michelle views person and family centred care with high importance and strives to work with families to provide high quality, individualised services to each client.With her experience as a volunteer at the Queensland Children’s Hospital (QCH) and having worked in the role as a medical receptionist, Michelle has learnt to effectively communicate with children and their families with diverse cultural backgrounds. Through her studies and experience during clinical placements, she has developed the necessary skills to provide sessions to client’s that are tailored to their needs and interests. She particularly enjoys using different creative approaches to tailor each session to every child’s needs.
To relax, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as immersing herself in nature through hikes and picnics. She can also be found frequently doing hobbies like cooking, baking, painting, and crafting which have all shaped her sessions to be filled with different learning styles which can help clients in their growth.

Natalie Ng
Speech Pathology Assistant
Natalie is a Speech Pathology Assistant at Teddy Talk, fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. She is currently in her third year of Bachelor of Speech Pathology at the University of Queensland. Outside of work, Natalie enjoys handcrafting, exploring new cuisines, and taking walks through the city. Her creativity shines through in therapy, where she designs engaging, personalised session materials, and her curiosity about diverse food cultures often leads to meaningful, language-rich conversations with clients. Her city walks inspire her observations of everyday communication, deepening her understanding of how people connect in real-world settings.
Natalie’s background as a tutor in Hong Kong and educator in Australian schools has shaped her strong appreciation for how cultural and environmental factors influence learning and communication styles. Through her studies and hands-on experience, she has developed a genuine passion for supporting children with communication challenges, tailoring each session to their individual strengths and celebrating every milestone in their progress.
At Teddy Talk, Natalie combines her cross-cultural understanding, creativity, and empathy to provide engaging, person-centred therapy. She is dedicated to helping children build confidence, develop effective communication skills, and thrive within their families and communities.

Sio Hui
Speech Pathology Assistant
Sio is a trilingual Speech Pathology Assistant at Teddy Talk, fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. She is currently in her third year of Bachelor of Speech Pathology at the University of Queensland. Sio values building genuine connections with children and families from diverse backgrounds and believes that therapy works best when it feels supportive, collaborative and fun.
Through her volunteering and clinical placement experiences, Sio has worked with a wide range of children, including preschoolers and school‑aged children with support needs. She has a gentle, creative approach and enjoys using games, play‑based activities and interactive strategies to keep children motivated and smiling during sessions. Outside of her studies, Sio enjoys a balance of quiet and active hobbies, from reading and cooking to swimming and badminton. This allows her to design both calm and energetic activities to suit the needs of the children she works with.
